NYC HIV Rate High!

Lets not forget about condoms! News is out today that NYC’s HIV rate is 3 times higher than the national rate. 72 of every 100,000 New Yorkers contracted HIV in 2006.

Here’s the reality, it’s not just gay men in New York who need to remember safe sex. There’s a lot of us in NYC, but there’s tons of us all over the world.

36 percent of gay and bisexual New York men who had 5 or more partners didn’t always use a condom. HIV leads to AIDS… and still kills.

I’ve recently asked groups of gay men and women what is a stereotype they absolutely hate about being gay. Many said they hate gay being confused with being promiscuous.
