Who is Most Likely to be Infected with HIV?

Who is most likely to be newly infected with HIV? According to the CDC, the answer is young black gay men, and white gay men in their 30’s and 40’s.

The CDC’s, Dr. Kevin Fenton, says we need to take away two big pieces of information from the new findings.

1. We need to stay informed, and need to teach young gay men about prevention.
2. We need to keep gay and bisexual men HIV-free during their lifetimes.

It comes down to open conversations and taking care of yourself. No more being on the down low. No more thinking “It won’t happen to me.” It still happens.
