Ellen Responds to Palin’s Beliefs

Talk Show Host, Ellen DeGeneres recently spoke out against Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s belief that there should be a federal ban on gay marriage.

This past Wednesday’s show, DeGeneres said, “We should all be equal.”

DeGeneres recently wed her long-term girlfriend, Actress, Portia de Rossi in California on August 16th. Since then, the comedian has stood her ground and used her celebrity platform to speak out against Proposition 8 - a proposition on the November 4th ballot to prohibit gay marriage in the Golden State.

I don’t think it is because you are gay Ellen, I think it is because you want all human beings to be viewed equally. Ellen is doing great work for our community. She is a great role model.
