P!nk’s “Funhouse”
P!nk’s “Funhouse”
Let me start by saying I’m a huge fan of Pink. I often get a hard time from my friends about this. They say, “I didn’t know there was such a thing as a diehard Pink fan.” Who knew… right?!? Well, I am. Besides, all my lesbian friends adore her. You say anything bad about Pink they freak out.
Pink’s new album drops today, “Funhouse.” It’s her fifth studio album. I just downloaded it this morning. So, what do I think. Keep in mind I’ve only had the chance to listen to it during a 35 minute (2 train) commute.
Here’s what I’m thinking… the album’s kickoff single “So What,” is strong. It is the kind of song you want to start an album off with. In fact, it is track number one. I made my way through track number 8. I’m not 100% sold on this album yet. Granted it takes multiple listenings. But, when I purchased 2006’s “I’m not Dead,” I listened to it nonstop and could name my favorite songs the very next day… including “Leave Me Alone I’m Lonely,” “Long Way to Happy,” and the super gay friendly “Dear Mr. President.”
I don’t want to live in the past, so lets get to the present day. I’ll provide an album review next week, but some hopeful tracks are, “I Don’t Believe in You,” and “Please Don’t Leave Me.”
I know myself - next week, my favorite songs will be completely different.
What’s your favorite P!ink song? Mine - “Just Like a Pill.”
