STRAIGHT MARRIAGE THREATENED?

Today millions of California residents are determining whether or not legalized gay marriage will continue in the Golden State.

This past June we were finally seen as equal citizens to the straight community in California. For the first time in the state, gay men and women were given the chance to express their love for each other, and unite in a way heterosexual men and women have for hundreds of years… through marriage.

If we lose the right to gay marriage in California, that is going to send a shock wave across the country telling other states there’s something wrong, abnormal, different about gay marriage. We must beat Proposition 8. When we do win, the message of love and acceptance will spread. I’m not trying to be all polyanna here, but I’m hoping other states will see that allowing a man to marry a man and a woman to marry a woman, only allows love to grow even greater. Gay marriage does not threaten straight marriage. It doesn’t redefine marriage either. Isn’t marriage the union of two loving souls?

Hell… it’s great for that state’s economy too! Gays love party planning (sorry for stereotyping, but it is almost 100% true). Just think of the extra jobs that can be created. Forget “Joe the Plumber,” how about “Joseph the Party Planner!”
