Bi-Curious at the Grammy’s
(Audio Below)
Katy Perry stormed her way onto the music scene this past summer with what some people may call an edgy, yet undeniably catchy song, “I Kissed a Girl.” Perry’s debut album, “One of the Boys,” has been burning up the charts with hit after hit, and still has people talking. Her “cherry chap stick” ditty even garnered her a nomination at this year’s Grammy’s for “Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.”
Late night television show host, Craig Furgeson, introduced the singer’s performance during this year’s Grammy’s telecast and alluded to Perry being bi-curious, which she is not.
This past summer I hit the streets to see what lesbians thought of the song — see below (my prediction was a little off):
With a catchy hook, Perry sings, “I kissed a girl, and I liked it… the taste of her cherry chap stick.” Other lyrics refer to this first kiss as an “experimental game,” and she hopes her boyfriend “don’t mind it.”
What do you think? I’ve hit the streets and asked girls who kiss girls (and REALLY like it) if they like “I Kissed a Girl” by Katy Perry.
BO NOTE: Katy’s “One of the Boys” album, is my favorite cd right now. I listen to it non-stop on my ipod. Four songs that stand out: “Waking Up in Vegas,” “Hot N Cold,” “If You Can Afford Me” and “Self Inflicted.” I have a feeling Grammy is going to be good to her this year, and give her a few golden statues.

Interesting…
