Gay Men Are Smarter than Straight Men

I’ve often heard gay men be referred to as smart asses. But, now there’s new research finding gay men are indeed intelligent, and actually smarter than their straight counterparts. Go gay guys!

According to first of its kind research, a study in the journal Economics of Education Review, finds gay male undergraduates have a two percent higher grade point average than straight males at the same institution. The study’s author, Christopher Carpenter, says, “The thing that really comes out is that gay men see academic work as more important than heterosexual men.”

The study also finds gay men and women in the U.S. are more likely to attend college. A 2004 New Jersey study found more than half of gay couples in the Garden State include at least one college educated partner, compared to 42 percent of straight couples.

So, our smart asses not only look good in our jeans, but it’s also in our genes to be smarter than straight men. I knew it! I may have barely passed geometry back in High School, screw those proofs, there’s now proof that I was, and have always been intelligent. Thank god I’m gay! Coming out of the closet was the smartest decision I ever made.
