Meant to Live for Love

I am a huge Switchfoot fan, the band best known for their songs, “Meant to Live” and “Dare You to Move.” I’m also a huge fan of music that has a bigger message than just sex, drugs and rock and roll. I went to their concert in Lancaster, PA this Father’s Day. Believe it or not, out of nowhere, a girl offered me two free FRONT ROW CENTER tickets! I’m sharing the experience.

This is the title track of their upcoming album, Hello Hurricane. I can’t wait for the album. I really dig the lyrics, “Hello hurricane, you’re not enough. Hello hurricane, you can’t silence my love. I’ve got doors and windows boarded up. All your dead end fury is not enough. You can’t silence my love.”

Amazing lyrics… real love cannot be taken away or destroyed… NO MATTER WHAT. As the band’s front man, Jon Foreman says, the song is about “a root in love, that no wind is ever going to tear down.”
