Anti-Gay Words Bash Like Fists

I could not believe what I was seeing and hearing as I watched the below video. As Gay Pride Month comes to an end, I realize just how much work is left for us to do.

I do believe Whitney Houston sang it best, “I believe the children are our future, teach them well, and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess inside.” Well, when I watch this video, I see how much bigotry and ignorance still exists in this world. What is even more confusing to me, is how one minority group could single out and harass another minority group. Granted they are kids… but they need to learn.

As they shout “Gay is not the way,” this gay man holds his head up high and never loses his self respect. These children need positive role models in their lives… perhaps this man. The parents of these children should be extremely appalled and ashamed of their behavior.

This video was shot as two friends were leaving the Gay Pride Festival in Minneapolis this past weekend.
