What to do Without Oprah?!?

Some little boys grow up idolizing professional athletes like the Yankees’ Arod. Other little boys, grow up thinking they can change the world like President Obama. But, then… then there’s other little boys who grow up thinking they can change the world like Oprah. I’m one of those little boys (make that big boys). Oprah has been a huge inspiration in my life since I was in junior high school. Damn, I saw her through thick and thin (literally). If I could buy a pair of her shoes at auction, I would. I would keep those suckers on my living room mantle… and stand in them when I feel weak.

With that being said, I’m bummed to learn that the New York Times reports that the media mogul will end her daytime talk show, “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” in 2011 as she prepares to start a cable channel of her own - OWN - The Oprah Winfrey Network.

“The sun will set on the Oprah show as its 25th season draws to a close on Sept. 9, 2011,” Tim Bennett, the president of Harpo, said in a message to affiliates.

I don’t care how hard Tyra tries, she will NEVER be the big “O.” Hell, I only have a little over a year to make one of my dreams come true - somehow appear on The Oprah Show. Ugh!
