Ex-Boyfriend Penguins Make TIME’s List

Love, isn’t it a beautiful thing… something that could give you that weird indescribable feeling in your belly. It’s something that could turn a sane man mad… you know, mad love.

Well, when it goes bad, it could turn you into a weeping idiot on the 4 express train from Grand Central all the way down to Fulton Street (don’t ask).

TIME magazine just announced their “Top Ten Breakups of 2009.” Two well know gay couples made the loss of love list. At number nine was the well-publicized breakup of previous heart-pounding penguins, Harry and Pepper, from the San Francisco Zoo. They were lovers from first waddle. Things didn’t get hairy until Harry started having sex with a female penguin. How dare he! Pepper was so angry he attacked the Casanova, leading to their breakup.

Also on the list were Lindsay Lohan and DJ Samantha Ronson. I guess you could say their relationship wasn’t music to their ears anymore.

As for me, I went through a breakup in 2009 and know how it could flat out suck. So, to all of us who lost love this past year, just know… it’s time to defy gravity!
