Being Gay: You Are Who You Are

You know, I’m always a sucker for an inspirational story, particularly when it’s about growing into your own and becoming the man, woman or in this case… dog you’re supposed to be — even though it goes against what others want for you. This past week, I celebrated eight years of being an “out” gay man. It wasn’t until I fully accepted myself, that others were able to see me for my true self, including my parents. The overall message of you can’t help being who you are is a beautiful thing.
